The Female All-Star Revue was originally called, "Women Rock the Night". For the first two years the show was performed at "Ziggie's" in Wheatridge (just outside of Denver). When the show was wildly successful in it's second year Jodie decided to move it to Oskar Blues for the 3rd year and make it a two night event. With the venue change came the name change, "Female All-Star Revue". The first year at Oskar Blues was an amazing blow-out. The first night featuring Delores Scott from Chicago and Nancy Nielsen from Santa Fe singing was a huge success. Oskar Blues signed up the Female All-Star Revue for a December show on the spot. After this show the ladies took to the stage in Niwot for the last show of the "Rhythm on the Rails" for the season. It was an amazing show and led to two shows over the winter, one at Oskar Blues on December 1st, 2007 and another at Herman's Hideaway in January of 2008. In 2008 the ladies tore up the afternoon for The Boulder Creek Festival on Memorial Day 2008 in downtown Boulder and June 21st will get together at Oskar Blues with a huge benefit for Candye Kane, who is recovering from pancreatic cancer and needs help with her medical bills. This huge show will include 24 female instrumentalists, singers and songwriters. Plans are underway for another "Rhythm on the Rails" show this summer and also a show, August 2nd in the 29th Street Mall. Keep checking in to the site for more details...
